Anonymous: There's a guy who I've been talking to, for 2 months, I've known him since pre-school. I had to switch schools at 3rd grade, and recently got in touch with him this year, as 11th graders. We talk/text everyday, everything he says comes out in a form that he wants to be more than friends, he texts me good morning and good night everyday, and gets pretty deep with me. I really like him but there is a problem, he has a girlfriend. She's a slut, and I have her for classes. What do I do?
Alright first things first, guys like to be confusing.
Unfortunately, they tend to give out weird signals and sometimes they do it without realizing it. Just remember that actions speak louder than words. I don’t mean this in a bad way, I’m just addressing the issue of the texts haha Anyway, on with the core of the problem. It sounds like he might be finding comfort in you, something that he might not be finding with his current girlfriend. As for his girlfriend being a slut, ask yourself, “Would I want to know if my bf/gf was being a slut behind my back?”, The answer is. Of course you do. So as a friend, and because you care about him (about his happiness) you should tell him, “Hey, I just don’t want you to get hurt but I’ve been seeing/hearing that whatsername is doing shama llama ding dong blah blah.” Just rule of thumb here, don’t give him the information with intentions of sabotaging their relationship, but I’m pretty sure you won’t. You sound genuinely concerned for this person anyway.
You have to wait until he doesn’t have a gf anymore. Cuz honey, you are worth more than just a safety net, rebound, or “the other girl” label. You have to wait until HE figures out what he wants to do, Just don’t hang on to his mixed signals. He needs to let the gf go and get his shiznit straight.
